Upgrading of the home appliance industry brings new challenges, and the mold industry will welcome new developments
The 12th Five-Year Plan period is a critical period for China's home appliance industry to move from a large home appliance manufacturing country to a powerful home appliance industry. If the home appliance industry wants to basically establish a higher-level strategic goal that relies on technological innovation, it must have advanced manufacturing technology. Molds undoubtedly play a role in supporting the development of the home appliance industry and realizing advanced molding and manufacturing technology for home appliance parts.
The importance of molds
In December 2009, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Transformation and Upgrading of my country's Household Appliances Industry", which proposed the important task of accelerating the transformation and upgrading of China's household appliances in terms of upgrading home appliances and technology.
At the same time, a new round of rapid upgrading of the consumption structure and large-scale product updates during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period have also brought new development opportunities to the home appliance industry. In 2010, the household electrical appliance manufacturing industry achieved a total industrial output value of approximately 900 billion yuan and a total export value of US$165 billion. Among them, the export of white home appliances (including household air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and microwave ovens) was approximately US$45 billion, and the export of black home appliances (including color TVs) exceeded US$120 billion. In 2010, a total of 77.18 million units of household appliances were sold nationwide, achieving sales of 173.23 billion yuan, which shows the vastness of the home appliance market.
The molding of home appliance parts relies on various molds such as wrench stamping, plastic, foaming, and adsorption, so home appliances and home appliance molds are closely related. In 2010, the output of refrigerators (including freezers) exceeded 100 million units. A single refrigerator requires about 350 molds, including 150 to 200 plastic molds. In 2010, the output of washing machines was 60 million units. A single fully automatic washing machine requires about 200 molds, worth about 3 0 million yuan, including 60 plastic molds; in 2010, the output of household air conditioners was 110 million units, and a single air conditioner only required 50 pairs of plastic molds; in 2010, the output of color TVs was 120 million units, and a single color TV required a total of about 140 pairs of molds, worth about 7 million yuan. Among home appliance molds, color TV molds alone have a market of about 2.8 billion yuan every year...
In addition, in 2010, the total sales of kitchen and bathroom appliances and small household appliances were 150 billion yuan, accounting for 70% of the global share. The output value of more than 5,000 solar water heater companies in 2010 also reached 73.5 billion yuan. These home appliances are also products that rely on mold molding.
